CNA Training Classes in NYC, NY

Becoming a CNA is something that can be rewarding both career wise as well as financially wise. However, to become one you will have to take some training courses to insure that you are capable of meeting all of the requirements that it takes to perform the job successfully. Below, you can find some of the places in New York, New York that offer CNA training classes.
1. ABC Training Center, 2471 Morris Ave # 2R Bronx, NY 10468-5417, ph: (718) 364-6700: The ABC Training Center is one of the places in New York that is known for their high quality CNA training classes. The cost of their class is $1,470. However, to become a student and reserve your seat all you have to put down is $180. They have payment plans available as well such as $160 a week or $170 bi weekly. Their normal classes run for 8 weeks or you could consider a 4 week class yet you will have to put down a down payment of 50% to participate in the 4 week class.
2. The Manhattan Institute, 52 Vanderbilt Ave # 2 New York, NY 10017-3808, ph:(646) 839-3300 ‎: This is one of the institutions that are available for the residents of New York City, NY. They are said to be the only course in the state that can have you trained in as little as three weeks. They allow you to register online, in person or over the phone. Their scheduling of classes is very flexible so they can fit into any schedule. The Manhattan Institute does have a tuition that must be paid however financial aid is available to help you cover the costs as well.
3. City College of New York Continuing & Professional Studies: This is another one of the schools that offers CNA training classes in New York City. They have been approved by the state since August 2011.
4. MandI School the College of Allied Health, 254 West 54th St # 9 New York, NY 10019, ph: (212) 247-3434: This school has been approved by the state since May 2008.
5. Manhattan EOC, 140 West 176th Street
Bronx, ph: (718) 466-0600: This school has been approved by the state since March 2011.
6. Mid Manhattan Adult Learning Center, 212 West 120th Street New York, NY 10027, ph: 212-666-1919: This school was formally known as OACE School 5 and they are certified by the state of New York as well.
7. American Red Cross, 7 Hanover Sq#6 New York, (212) 875-2098: The American Red Cross is said to be one of the more affordable CNA training classes in the state. However, you are not eligible to use financial aid here.
8. CUNY in the Heights, 108 Cooper St, New York, NY 10034-2332: This school requires you to be at least 18 years old, pass a reading comprehensive exam, and have a TB skin test in order to attend their classes. Their rate is $950.
9. Advanced Career Solutions, 291 Broadway New York, NY 10007-1814, ph:(212) 385-2222: They offer a 5 week program for $1,000. However, they require you to be 18, have a high school diploma or GED, pass a criminal background check, pass a drug test, have a TB skin test done, have a complete physical examination performed and take a math, reading, and English examination before you can begin classes.
10. Concord Rusam, Inc, 160 Pearl Street New York, NY 10005-1617, ph: (212) 619-2260: They offer a 12 week program for $1600. They also only require you to have a diploma or a GED and of course you have to be at least 18 years old.
