Miami is renowned around the world for its relaxed lifestyle, amazing places to shop and dine, as well as the wealth of sun-drenched beach nearby. Of course, there’s much more here – and a rapidly growing medical industry is definitely one of those things. For those looking to become a CNA, the city of Miami can be an excellent option. You’ll find a wide range of employers, and a salary slightly higher than the national average, as well. The first step is to register for CNA classes in Miami.

One of the few states in the nation not to make this requirement of aspiring CNAs, Florida does not mandate any education or training prior to taking the state’s licensing exam to become a certified nursing assistant. Of course, that doesn’t mean that you’ll find the exam easy to pass. If you have no training or previous experience, it’s highly recommended that you seek out one of the quality CNA programs in Miami and complete the classes prior to taking the certification test. There are state-approved CNA programs available – the state simply does not force applicants to complete such training programs.
Florida uses a different approach to licensing CNAs than you’ll find in most states. After submitting your application, you will have to pass an FBI background check. You will also have to submit your fingerprints and receive a fingerprint card. Finally, you will take the state’s licensing exam. Like other states, it’s a two-part test that combines both multiple-choice questions and skills assessments.
