Oregon State offers advanced opportunities for people who work as or are considering employment as a certified nursing assistant. This is one of the few states that make it possible for CNAs to take additional coursework in order to earn more income and perform more duties. The state of Oregon offers CNA1 and CNA2 training programs. Before an individual can pursue training to become a CNA2, they must complete training to become a CNA1. This is the basic training for anyone who wishes to work as a certified nursing assistant. Read school reviews below.
The CNA2 training programs are more advanced than the CNA1 programs. CNA2 programs offer various specializations. For example, there is a CNA2 restorative care program and a CNA2 acute care program. The state offers these programs for individuals who are able and willing to learn more advanced skills and study more advanced and specialized concepts. Before an individual can receive their certification in one of these areas, they must complete a CNA2 training program. The student will then need to sit for and pass the certification exam. Criteria for the certification exams are set forth by the state or Oregon to ensure that all certified nursing assistants have the necessary skills.
